The Stables Matakana is a restaurant, bar and wedding venue located 50 minutes from Auckland CBD just outside of Matakana. Amongst the picturesque rural landscape and rolling Matakana hills, The Matakana Country Park & The Stables are beautifully combined for a casual lunch, a family meal, an intimate dinner, a private function or a large scale event; a one of a kind diverse blend making this venue completely unique. Highwic House is a historic house in Central Auckland. It was built in 1862 and runs as a museum, and has Stables, a billiard house number amongst various outbuildings, set amidst extensive Victorian-themed grounds, high hedges, mature specimen trees, a fern house, lawn tennis and croquet courts, as well as a 'Lovers Walk'.
