Reem + Jenai // Marrakesh Wedding

This wedding is featured on Green Wedding Shoes here.

I usually spend days agonising about how to structure my blog posts. When photographing a wedding I shoot 3000-4000 images, culling these to deliver is easy, I simply choose and edit all the good images but building a blog post is a whole new level of difficult. For me, blog posts need to be concise but yet communicate the story and emotion of a day in a small amount of images. Reem and Jenai’s day certainly didn’t make this job any easy, there are just too many amazing photos from their day.

Reem is one half of the duo behind the fashion and lifestyle blog Five Fabulous Five so every detail of this wedding was meticulously planned and this becomes pretty clear when you see their day. On top of this, their wedding was filled with so many special moments, friends who had travelled across the globe to attend and it all took place in the desert at the foothills of the Atlas Mountains.

The images below are my story their special day. Please take your time as you scroll through this post, let yourself fall into the context, emerge yourself in their day and let the story speak to you. Enjoy, James.

Venue: Le Palais Paysan

The following day...

Jake + Naomi // New Zealand Wedding Shoot

This wedding was featured on the cover of Hello May Magazine

Jake and Naomi had a pretty awesome idea for the morning of their wedding. Get up and get ready very early, hike out to a waterfall, brew up some coffee and spend some quality, slow time together. That's exactly what they did and it was the perfect way to start their wedding day. We LOVE couples up for an adventure. Enjoy Jake and Naomi's.

Reece + Penny // Queenstown Engagement shoot

Almost a year ago now Penny and Reece flew over from Australia to meet me in Queenstown for their engagement shoot. Have we mentioned that we LOVE showing our couples around NZ and taking them to the most beautiful parts of our country?

When I met Penny and Reece at Queenstown airport for their shoot we had talked briefly about where we would shoot but coming directly off the plane I hadn’t had time to scout locations like I usually would. The plan was to spend the afternoon exploring together and finding beautiful locations together. This is exactly what we did and the results couldn't be any better.
